Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This place serves Pizzas, wings, heroes, pasta, everything. Everything is cooked fresh and the taste is amazing. The personal size pizza is enough for two. Meatball sub is very good cheesy and the bread is soft. Lasagna is a must.

We come here every time we get to Daytona. New York style pizza is the best kind there is,and Luigi's is always good. Staff is friendly, price is fair. Great pizza restaurant.

Hands down the best mom and pop pizzeria! GREAT food, GREAT service and a GREAT price. Made a specialized meal that wasn't even on the menu just for us! You will love this place, we sure did!

Ordered a pizza and calzone. Pizza was good not 5 stars, but when I got the calzone back to the room it wasn't cooked all the way and you could see raw dough. So I put it in the oven and finished cooking it myself. Pizza. Like I said it was good but not what I'm use to from back home in Indiana

We ate here because of the reviews looking for a real NY pizza. This was as good as it gets. My wife and I did not speak for 30 minutes while we enjoyed a Taste sensation. Meat lovers pizza was awesome. Wafer thin sliced sweet sausage. Calzone was brushed with olive oil. Sauce was tasty. We will be back.

One of my friends told me that the original Luigi's had moved from Palm Coast to Holly Hill. It was so good I had to find out for myself. It was and was worth the trip. Best pie ever. I drive 15 miles for it now.

We stayed overnight in Daytona and decided on pizza.. looked at a zillion reviews online and it was hard to choose as not one place looked better than another. We decided on this because there is a great Luigi's in Charlotte.. its a small family run joint, you get that as soon as you walk in. Very relaxed/laid back atmoswhere. We started with the small house salad (it was HUGE)... had good lettuce and fresh veggies, no iceburg here... then a side of meatballs... came w/2 huge meatballs and they were very good, nice and moist and held together, the sauce was the star... it was excellent. Ordered a small pizza (it was more like a medium) with 1/2 pepproni and banana peppers, cheese the other half. It was a little thicker than I like and had a LOT of cheese... I love cheese but could have done w/ a little less but I think most people would be happy w/it... it was good quality nice and stringy cheese with lots of flavor. I would go back, the manager/owner whoever it was making the pizza took time to thank us on the way out which was a nice touch.

We really loved our food & service here! Gnocchi with Alfredo (my order) & Baked Ziti with Homemade Sausage (husband's order) were amazing!! I get gnocchi whenever I see it on the menu and this, by far, was my favorite. Cooked perfectly, it was a melt in your mouth dish! And my husband's was delicious too- they m ake their own sausage!! Can't beat that. I'm guarding my leftovers with my life! Casual setting, felt comfortable going with our sometimes very loud daughters age 4 & 11 months. Server was very nice & helpful and food came out quickly. Impressed overall!!

The pizza was huge and pretty good, the delivery was not great. They estimated 45 minutes for delivery and it took an hour and 20 minutes, almost double the estimate. By the time the food came it was all cold. I would NOT suggest getting the garlic knots to go, they were horrible, burned and soggy because they were so drenched in oil. If you are going to try this place I would strongly suggest going to the location.

So if you're from Daytona or stayed beachside you know the quality of Pizza is limited. We were in the Pizza mood and found this place w/ good reviews and gave it a try. Admittedly a hike, and I did pass about 6-8 but well worth it. What they saved in appearance, goes into the quality of the Pizza! Had a Cheese, sausage, bacon, pepperoni w/ spinach large and small cheese for $31. Worth it... ,

This is a true Italian pizza place. We came today during our visit to Daytona beach. The we ordered 18" half vegetable half cheese pizza, garlic bread and fries topped with cheese. Our order was ready quickly and the owner surprised us with full vegetable pizza and two small personal cheese pizza for our kids. We loved the pizza and the homy feel of the place. The kids also had small flying dough show :). We came from Chicago and leaving tomorrow, so we may not be able to come again but definitely this place will be our pizza place every time we come to Daytona beach. Go there and you won't regret it.

They use to have best pizza around. Not anymore crust, cheese, and everything else went to crap.

Good, solid Eyetalian food and cheap. Nice family trying to make a living with a neighborhood type setting. Eat in as the pizza gets a bit soggy on take away, but nice and crispy first hand.

When we moved to Florida from New York we were in despair because we couldn't find pizza as good as the pizza we were used to "up North". Thankfully Luigi opened his Pizzeria and Italian restaurant! Some others have come close, but for the REAL pizza we need to survive, only Luigi's hits the mark! Thank you Luigi!
